Flower Essence Nemophila Forgiveness Original Painting

This art series is a collection of original artwork. That is centred around flowers and their meanings. 

I am a very intuitive person. My work is very much influenced by my expression. I dreamt about this flower and then I kept seeing it on Social media. I tried to figure out what message the flower was trying to tell me. After much research I found out that one of the meanings of this flower is, that it is known as the “I forgive you” flower. 

That’s when I realised that was the message it was trying to communicate to me. Now forgiveness means a range of things to different people. I however want to offer a different perspective. Forgiveness is often widely viewed as something we give to others, but what about forgiveness for yourself?

To forgive yourself when you lose your way. Forgive yourself for the mistakes you have made, the people who have treated you wrongly, the things that have been passed down onto you when there is no fault of your own. 

When you look at this flower, I want you to offer that forgiveness to yourself. Allow yourself to release the weight of your grief you have been holding onto. Be forgiving to yourself. We all make mistakes, and sometimes we may allow people to treat us in a way that is wrong. We allow people to project onto us. But remember we live to learn and through life let’s forgive and be compassionate to ourselves. 

To the person who buys this painting, I hope you remind yourself that forgiveness is something you should give to yourself first.
